Hip Hop Literature

I came across this blog while trolling for urban literature sites. I think it illustrates further the interesting ways that American Hip Hop music and literature continue to impact and play out on the European scene. Some might ask, which came first, the chicken or the egg? But rather than deny the influence of Hip Hop culture on Europe and Asia, I'm more inclined to be fascinated by how far and deep African American culture's reach into popular culture and music worldwide continues to be.
Checking out BaBa Brinkman's "The Rap Canterbury Tales" (literally, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales set to rap,...I know, right?), it occurred to me that this is sorta like payback for the 'British Music Invasion' lead by the Beatles of the 1960s.(...not payback in a bad way, 'cause I loved the Beatles and I LOVE Hip Hop).
